IS Co., Ltd. is a company operating a franchise restaurants of “CURRY HOUSE CoCo ICHIBANYA.” There are 4 stores in Aichi-prefecture and 9 in Kanto-area.
CURRY HOUSE CoCo ICHIBANYA is specializing in curry managed by ICHIBANYA Co., Ltd. Since opening its first store in Nagoya in 1978, the company has expanded franchising, and now there are more than 1200 restaurants in Japan. Curry of CoCo ICHIBANYA is also loved by people all over the world, and have grown business overseas. There are over 100 restaurants abroad; 9 stores in the US, 53 stores in China, 29 stores in Taiwan, 24 stores in South Korea, 26 stores in Thailand, 7 stores in Hong Kong, 5 stores in Singapore, 3 stores in Indonesia, 2 stores in Malaysia, 4 stores in Philippines.
We are trying to be a company that not only pleases customers visiting stores every day, but also a company that all the staff members get a satisfying job and that supports dream and purpose of life of each and every staff member.
Message from owner upon hiring
Since employed at CoCo ICHIBANYA, I started my own business in 1986 at the youngest age of 22 and it has been 30 years this year. Looking back, I have been supported by many people, and I have been working frantically. Along with CoCo ICHIBANYA, IS has made a rapid growth, and currently operating 13 CURRY HOUSE CoCo ICHIBANYA restaurants mainly in the area of Kanto and Tokai.
There are many things I value highly as I work. Worthwhile job, dream, purpose, strong intention of never giving up, motivation, colleagues working together, family. Current IS does not exist without any one of them.
What I feel now by looking back the past, I have been supported by many people for the last 30 years. However, I have not shown enough appreciation to them. I also know that this feeling will never go away.
I want to support other people like many people have done for me. That is why IS is “a company that supports.” Recent days that lifestyle diversify, working style differs to each one own. The purpose of working also differs. While some people want to devote all of oneself to work, others want to value private time. There also are some people who work in order to make a living while having a dream and pursuing it. It varies.
At IS, people who have various cultural and economic background, and have own dream are flourishing. One of the dreams is “to become an independent owner of CoCo ICHIBANYA.” IS has produced 18 independent business owners so far. We also support not only full-time employees, but also part-timers who have been pursuing their own dreams.
